Day 137

Affirmation:

I only make choices that are beneficial to my life and support my well-being.

I only make choices that support my growth into a  more empowered and more authentic, loving human.

It is easy to get into the habit of making choices that do not serve one’s life or self.   That may be the habit of choosing an unhealthy relationship, choosing to be in situations which promote victimhood, or choosing to worry (which offers nothing positive to any experience).   Consciously choosing that which is physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy is always the right choice, for both the self and others.  Choosing to nourish the body with the healthiest possible food is choosing well-being.  Choosing to end or avoid engaging in toxic situations is choosing to support one’s growth.  Choosing to view oneself as worthy and valuable is choosing empowerment.  Choosing to feel compassion, tolerance, understanding and acceptance is choosing authenticity.   Choosing to have a positive attitude and positive thoughts is choosing to be a more positive, loving person.   Being conscious of what one is choosing – and whether or not the consequences of those choices  support well-being – is an important part of living a joyful, healthy, authentic life of love and truth.

Day 76

Affirmation:

I have enough.

I am enough.

I see abundance, plenty and potential everywhere I look.

I appreciate what I have.

I appreciate all I am.

I express gratitude daily for all that I have and all that I am.

It’s so easy to be drawn in by the lure of lack and insufficiency, our media sources drown us daily with information about what we don’t have enough of  – things like health, style, beauty, security, financial freedom and excitement.  And media very generously offers the solutions to these same shortage problems – drugs, fashion trends, makeup and cosmetic surgery,  insurance and investment options and a slick sports car with a sexy passenger.  Those same media sources also try to convince us that what we do have isn’t good enough – think bigger house, fuller breasts, whiter teeth, greener lawns, more sexual vigor and fewer gray hairs.  The outside world is constantly selling us the idea that what we have and what we are is not enough.  No wonder our attention is constantly falling on what we believe is missing or in short supply!  The truth is that we already have and are so much more than we think.

To see what we have we need to shift our perspective from one of lack and shortage to one of abundance and flow.  That shift begins by recognizing how often we put our attention on what we want more of, less of or better. While some want is born of a desire for expansion, as in, “I want to someday take a trip to Spain,” most want has a very different energy, as in , “I want a more agreeable and loving partner.” (which translates to, “I don’t have a very agreeable and loving partner.”)  And it’s the want that comes from lack that keeps us in misery.  Once we recognize our patterns of wanting and from where they derive,  we can make a switch and start thinking instead about what we have.

By shifting from constant thoughts of “I want…” to  constant thoughts of “I have…” we begin to appreciate what we  already possess and experience and how perfectly it has served us.  Thoughts of “I have…” and the gratitude they provoke are the seeds for future abundance and plenty.  When we see that same partner with grateful “I have…” eyes, we start to notice wonderful traits previously hidden by our discontent and our attitude toward them changes.  Most amazingly, as our perspective changes from want to have, the things we have and appreciate begin to transform and become the things we always wanted.

Day 53

Affirmation:

I am stronger than I appear to be.

I am stronger than I think I am.

I am not yet as strong as I will be.

We may be physically small, weak, or feel challenged by our body, age, or intellect, but no matter what the perceived limitation, we are ALL stronger than we appear to be, and undeniably stronger than we think we are.   The strength I’m referring to  is inner strength, what we think of as courage, determination, fortitude, grace and integrity.   This inner strength has carried each of us through life’s storms.   It has given us the will to get out of bed when we all we want to do is hide under the covers.   Our strength allows us to stand up for others without a second thought.  It nudges us gently into relationships that are so good they scare us, and forcefully walks us away from those so bad they wound us.    Our inner strength allows us to face our fears, go for our goals, recover from pain, and express ourselves authentically.

Think of a time when you were sure you could not take another step in life,  a time when hope was nothing more than another 4-letter word.    Something propelled you out of the abyss.  What was it?  It wasn’t  the friend, book or doctor.  It was you.   Before anything external can help us move from misery to recovery, we must first reach the point of wanting better for ourselves and creating that space where better can be seeded.  And  it is inner strength that births that desire for better, allowing us to find or accept help.   Our strength never leaves us, no matter what happens to our bodies or our situations.  Not only is it a permanent part of our beings, it grows with each trial.   It reminds us that we’ve overcome before and will again.  It says, “If I could go through that, I can get through anything.”

Day 232

Affirmation:

Today I intend to smile at everyone, everywhere I go.

__________________

It’s a good day to *SMILE* !  If for no other reason than we all feel better when we smile and we all like feeling GOOD!   Smile at strangers instead of looking away.   Smile at someone you don’t get along with–and leave ‘em wondering!   Smile at your own face in the mirror!   Smile because you are YOU and because you CAN!   Just by smiling you’ll affect the energy around you and people will respond.  They may find themselves feeling better too – they might even smile back!   Don’t feel like smiling?  Force it.  Fake it.  It might just stick 🙂

Day 231

Affirmation:

In moments of stillness I become at-one with all Creation.

Today I will practice deliberate stillness of mind and body.

_____________

The infinity of The ALL is found in the pause of no-thing-ness and that pause can be deliberately experienced with a bit conscious intention. Consider making the effort to *STOP* several times throughout the day today to quiet your mind into silence, to relax your body into non-action, and to be fully present in that  moment of Life thru stillness.  Attempt to experience this brief “pause” each time you move from one activity to the next in your daily routine.

Day 230

Affirmation:

I am blessed with abundant love in my life.

I am never alone or without love.

I am loved by forces unseen at all times.

______________

There are times when we all feel alone in the world or without the love and support of one true friend. Perhaps those experiences happen so as to inspire us to look beyond the obvious and visible. Even if stranded on an island in the middle of an infinite sea, one is not alone or without love. Each of us was given, upon our birth, one True Friend on the planet on whom we could always depend. This one person would be with us our entire lives, know everything about us and still love us unconditionally. This one person would stand with us even when we treated them terribly. This one person is our very own self and no person can love us more than we love ourselves.

We are each of us also blessed with love and support beyond this world. The Divine, that unexplainable formless Presence, is an infinite Source of True Love and Friendship. Whether we look within our hearts or to the Heavens, Divine Love is always with us, guiding, nurturing, supporting and loving us unconditionally all the hours of our lives. Be it Divine or Self, love is ours and always with us even when we feel terribly alone.

Day 4

Affirmation:

I live in abundant health and vitality.

I am strong and energetic.

I can see my body, its organs, tissues and cells, bathed in Divine and healing Light at all times.

I feel my body daily rejuvenated.

My body is a vehicle of Divine creation and I treat it with honour and respect.

                             ___________________________________

Whether I am in perfect health at this moment or not makes no difference.  What is important is that my attention be on what I desire, my preferred state.   By continually affirming health, healing, and strength I am channeling the energy of  Divine perfection to every part of my body, via the unlimited power of my own consciousness.    Serving my body well with my actions is also essential.   Intervention and good care are vital and my choices should reflect and promote my preferred state.

When my mind and it’s assertion of health are working in harmony with deliberate action to promote the same, I am creating the ideal circumstances for the attainment of my preferred state.
