365 Days of Inspiration – Daily Affirmations and Insights for Living a Joyful Life of Empowered Consciousness

Day 88
Affirmation:
I see life through the instrument of my heart.
I perceive existence with my sense of loving.
My eyes and ears may fail me, but my heart never will.
If intuition is the sixth sense, love is the seventh, and its instrument is the heart. With the heart we can see the world and its experiences through the eyes of the Divine. With the heart we can see the pathway to forgiveness. With the heart we can hear words without judgment or fear. With the heart we can touch the lives of those who suffer or need. From the heart we can speak words of appreciation, compassion and tolerance. When we use our hearts to experience life through loving – just as we use our eyes to experience life through seeing and our hands to experience life through touching – the world and all in it are seen as having higher purpose, divine mystery, and an inherent beauty. Anytime life takes on a troubled hue, we can see it differently by looking with the heart.

Day 57
Affirmation:
I am proud for my children’s successes, achievements or good example.
I support my children’s dreams, hopes and happiness.
I encourage my children and other young persons to be better than my best.
Many parents feel resentful when their offspring shine where they never could, achieve what they never dared, and aspire to be what they never even conceived of being. Many parents feel threatened by their child’s good looks, popularity, and healthy self-esteem. When a child flourishes in an aspect of their life that a parent feels insecure about in theirs, the potential for rivalry, control issues, and emotional abuse arises. Many insecure adults relate to their children with an air of competition. If there must be any competition between parent and child it should either be in good fun or in order for the child to learn to succeed and surpass their parent competitor.
The spiritual reality of the parent-child relationship is this– children are supposed to become better humans than their parents. Every generation should be better at being human than the previous. Such is the essence of evolution. Everything that a parent models is intended to offer their child a chance to become more loving and more successful in life. As parents it is our responsibility to encourage our children to be better than we are… in every way. And when they are, we need not be threatened. We can smile and know we have done our job well. If our children are more successful, more compassionate, more creative, more authentic, more courageous, more independent, more secure, smarter, stronger and happier than we have ever been, we can be very proud.

Day 211
Affirmation:
My intention for today is to think like GOD thinks… from loving kindness, from compassion, from unity, from wisdom, from tolerance, from forgiveness, from a higher perspective….
My thoughts will arise from a divine heart filled with love, not a small mind filled with fear, insecurity, or negativity.

Day 189
Affirmation:
I am grateful for the gift of differing views and opinions, opposing perspectives and beliefs, and unrecognizable ideologies. Such gifts of diversity offer me opportunities for expansion, compassion, tolerance and gratitude.
____________
What a boring world it would be if we were all the same. If everyone had the same beliefs, attitudes, thoughts and feelings, there would be nothing to facilitate broader understanding or promote the learning of foreign ideas. In fact there would be no foreign ideas. From differences and diversity we learn tolerance and acceptance. We may not always agree with other’s choices or modes of self-expression, but from those differences we learn to respect and appreciate individuality. Embracing differences promotes a deep and reverent gratitude for the opportunity to live in a world filled with so many divergent expressions.

Day 95
Affirmation:
I take daily walks with The Divine.
________
When I am experiencing love, I am walking with my Source. When I see beauty, feel compassion, place my trust in faith, or feel joy, I am walking with The Presence. When I love, love other humans, love the planet, or love a piece of music, I am walking with Divinity. Any and every time I am experiencing love or any expression of love, I am walking hand-in-hand with God. Today I begin the habit of being aware of this daily communion.
