I live with exuberance & passion, abundant appreciation, assertiveness, confidence and a GREAT IMAGINATION!
Meet Jessica, heroine for the day. She’s ‘written’ today’s affirmation because I couldn’t have said it half as well as she has…. (a transcript is below the video)

(Recommended companion for this affirmation and for cultivating conscious gratitude)
We thank the Powers of Creation- the known and unknowable- that exist within each of us and in everything around us, for our existence and presence in the world today.
We give thanks for the abundance in our lives that is so often taken for granted-from the smallest, most forgettable to the gifts that sustain us.
We give thanks for connections– for people coming and going in our lives, for sharing, laughter, to support and to love. We also give thanks for the people who challenge our well being- those teachers who force us to reach inside and choose to be better than their example.
We are blessed with freedom while many are imprisoned, fullness while many hunger, peace while many know only war, and prosperity while many live in poverty.
We give thanks for all these blessings and for the Infinite Love that lights the paths of our journeys.

Love is not self-centered.
Love is not petty.
Love is not about taking.
Love is not about who is wrong.
Love is not about control.
Love is not about possession.
Love is not about the ego.
Even if love was the glue that created the original bond, fear (and its related emotions) often squeeze love out, allowing the ego to take over the relationship. When that happens, control issues, possessiveness, and self-centeredness threaten to dominate the landscape. Love is not about, “What’s in it for me.” Love says, “What can I do for you.” Love is never about taking; it is about giving (which means receiving too). Love doesn’t fight for control or power in a relationship; it empowers. Love isn’t a struggle for rights; it’s the ultimate union (which knows the importance of collective bargaining). Love is not a cage; it is without boundaries, promoting unlimited growth in its partners. Love is never about the ego, but always about the heart.

I refuse to let the fears of yesterday be the fears of my tomorrow.
As my brain throws out reasons for me to feel threatened or afraid based on something I experienced in the past, I will pause and ask myself, “Is there a real threat here now or is this a learned response?” I intend to be sincere with myself and admit if my response is simply an emotional habit. If it is, I’ll recognize it and let it go. If I don’t, I may turn some wonderful opportunities into problems they aren’t.
