Day 70

Today I will see God in the details.

If we want to know Divinity, all we have to do is look around.  In every particle of light filtering thru the window we can know the Absolute’s illumination. In every newly revealed green leaf & blossom, we can see the Divine’s celebration of life. In every bird song of joy, every child’s cry of need, and every lover’s sigh of passion, we can hear voice of the Infinite Spirit. In this morning’s hot coffee and tonight’s cool sheets, in a stranger’s smile and an old friend’s embrace, in the rhythm of our breath and the beating of our hearts, in all the little details we can experience the Source of all existence as it appears in ordinary life and experiences.

Day 239

I completely surrender today’s trials, disappointments and concerns over to the Universe, to work through on my behalf.

I release all unpleasant emotions I have carried with me today.

I free myself of today’s worries, upsets and frustrations.

Tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start, a new beginning.

Tomorrow I will begin life anew, in peace and faith.

Some days are just more effort than any should be.  Some days seem to be overflowing with challenges and struggles, both perceived and real.  Some days we wish we could just disappear.  And it’s on those days that we can find comfort in the sun’s departure, because at night, during sleep, we can disappear.  For a few hours we are able to journey into our subconscious, dreams and the astral world.  But before going to sleep we need to release pent-up stress and emotions. If we don’t we’re likely to sleep horribly and wake with the same stresses, possibly magnified, in our consciousness.  The release can be spoken, thought, drawn, written, visualized, exhaled, or chanted–it makes no difference how it’s done. Once the day’s troubles are truly surrendered (to the Universe/God/Self) sleep should come easily, and when we reawaken into our physical lives in the morning, we can do so with a new outlook, a fresh hope.

Day 168

I think like God thinks and I love as God loves.

I see the world through the eyes of  The Divine, and love the world with a Divine Heart.

I strive to live in alignment with my Source.

One of the desirable effects of spiritual practice is alignment with The Divine.  How do you know when if you’re in alignment with your Source?  You feel good.  You feel good about yourself and about your life.  You find synchronicity and so-called coincidences abounding.  You find you are consistently in the right place at the right time.  Your intuitive feelings are not only stronger but more often than not, they’re accurate.  Your desires, dreams, wishes and hopes seems to manifest more easily and quickly.  You find yourself meeting or attracting people who are also in alignment, who are ‘on the same wavelength’ literally.  Your health improves, you sleep better, you desire healthier food and circumstances, and you have more energy.  You have more confidence, feel more loving, patient, and tolerant.  You feel more creative, desiring to participate in a creative endeavor of some kind.  You feel good.  No one is always in alignment, not while they are incarnated on this planet, but even a moment in such a state of grace can inspire a lifetime of right practice.

Day 95

I take daily walks with The Divine.

When I am experiencing love, I am walking with my Source.  When I see beauty, feel compassion, place my trust in faith, or feel joy, I am walking with The Presence.  When I love, love other humans, love the planet, or love a piece of music, I am walking with Divinity.   Any and every time I am experiencing love or any expression of love, I am walking hand-in-hand with God.   Today I begin the habit of being aware of this daily communion.

Day 53

I trust and listen to my inner guidance.

My inner guidance always works for my highest potential and from love.

It can be called God, Guardian Angel, Higher Self, Spirit Guide, intuition, knowing, sixth sense, or gut feeling.  Sometimes that guidance comes as nudge, a sign, a voice, a feeling, or an instinct.  Whatever we call it and however it manifests, everyone has their own inner guidance.  It can be hard to trust that inner wisdom when it speaks but with time and trust, one can learn to rely on it under any circumstances.  Inner guidance is always loving and never encourages any choice that would cause harm to the self or others.  Inner guidance may not always be logical but it always turns out to be in our best interest.  Inner guidance is not from the ego, it is from the soul. Again, inner guidance never does anything but promote that which is good, loving, and in harmony with the Divine.   I commit to relying on my inner guidance to help me make decisions and pursue my life’s highest expression.    I will trust my inner guidance, more and more each day, realizing that it will never lead me astray.
